Is home schooling good or bad?

My recent post have solicited quite a diverse view of the issue. The reason I asked is because I am confused as to why it is difficult to simply use the available resources. Here are some of the answers:
However, not all resources are applicable to Filipino children because of the “western” approach. – Sabrina, a friend and soon-to-be teacher.
My follow-up question is “how difficult is it to modify?” Also, we can concentrate on the basics such as English, Math and Science – which, I think, need very little effort to localize.
