Everyone who attended school in UP Diliman knows that the schedule of classes is as follows, Mondays-Thursdays, Tuesdays-Fridays and Wednesdays-Saturdays. But not anymore!

I just found out today that the new schedule will take effect this coming academic year 2008-2009. Classes will be on Tuesdays-Thursdays, Wednesdays-Fridays and Mondays-Saturdays. Meetings will now be scheduled every Monday instead of Wednesdays. This will be great since we will have a long weekends (but negates the government declared holidays, which always fall on Mondays) and also not join the rest of the commuting public in the Monday rush! :)

Now, I only hope that UP Integrated School will follow the schedule. No Monday classes instead of Wednesdays.

What do you think – do you prefer this new schedule?

Is this for real? I prefer not to have classes on Wednesdays than Mondays, so people can still have a “cramming day (rest day)” for stuff on Thursday and Friday. Hehe.

I never thought of asking — why has it always been that UP has no classes during Wednesdays?

Most of the faculty-admins schedule meetings on Wednesdays. It is not that there are no classes but instead, classes are rarely scheduled on Wednesdays-Saturdays.
